Coffee link up with Jenna & Jenna

Today I was going to write a post about my vacation, but the fact that I still haven't unpacked everything made me change my mind. I know, I know...PROCRASTINATOR. That's what I am and I am owning up to it! I cant seem to write about something when the remnants of all I have to do is all over my room.

So today I am linking up with Jenna from Dearest Love & Jenna from A Mama Collective for another coffee date.
I love coffee dates. Virtual and real life. My favorite part about this beautiful life is sharing it with the people around me. The good and the bad! The fact is, none of us could make it on our own, and we're not supposed to. We have each other to lean on and to turn to when we need prayer, or just someone to talk to!

Today in this link up we are talking about our highs and lows from this week.

Highs:
There have been a bunch of highs from this week!

1. Matthew and I picked blueberries in Nesbit Mississippi! That was so much fun. My mom made this AMAZING bunt cake out of the fresh blueberries.

2. Finally got to hangout with the sweet middle school girls from church :)

3. Spent some much needed quiet moments with the Lord. I had slacked off on vacation while we had so many things going on.

4. This week I have been really trying to focus on the 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 which says to rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give thanks in all circumstances.

5. Matthew and I rode our bikes ALL over Bartlett. Since we rode our bikes down 30A I wanted to keep the exercise up when we got home. We rode to McAlister's for dinner and then went to see my best friend. It was fun! Now we want to make it a weekly tradition!
6. I got my hair redone! Yay! I love it. And my sweet hairdresser who did it :)

Looking like Lucy...Don't judge! :)

selfie central..I know.

Lows:

1. Realized that Matthew and my Mama are going back to work in a couple weeks :( This summer has flown by!

2. Going back to number four on my highs, I have also counted this as a low. The more I consciously try to live in this way, the more I realize how flawed I really am. I didn't realize how much I complained or caught myself in a bad attitude when I should have just been giving thanks.

3. A guy trying to sell straighteners in the mall told me my hair is frizzy...so theres that.

All in all, it has ben such an amazing week. I am so thankful for everything God has provided me with and I cant take credit for any of it. He has been teaching me things and has had so much patience with me that I am so undeserving.

But really, I want to hear about you! How has your week been?
How are you really?

xoxo,
Lacey Beth

    1. Blueberries remind me of my childhood too! I used to swim at my grannys and then go pick them in her blueberry bush for a snack :) Thanks for hosting the link-up!

  2. Jealous you were somewhere on the beach off 30a. I've been to Seaside the past two years but don't get to go this summer. Great vacation spot!

  4. I love the bike selfie! Looks like you guys had fun. Also, I don't think your hair looks frizzy. That mall guy doesn't know what he's talking about :) Stopping over from the coffee date linkup. Hope you're having a great weekend!
