Thoughts on Fashion

Lately I have been thinking a lot about fashion.

I have always been one to go with the crowd on fads but put my own personal spin on it. Now as I am older, I would really love to get away from fads all together and just find my own style and stick with it.

I know every girl has felt this way at one time or another, but sometimes I feel like if I try something completely wacky that I will be judged so hard. But then I got to thinking..who cares?! I can be as wacky as I wanna be! Cause honestly, I'm not normal. I'm weird, and I don't want to look like everyone else in the fashion department. 

I am totally into cheetah pattern, anything with a ruffle, obsessed with polka dots, mustard yellow, army green, or funky buttons. I don't like fashion shorts  that much (however nike shorts are perfection), i love capri's and dresses. 

Also, lately I have been wearing nike shorts and workout capris annnnnnd thats about it. How pathetic is that! I have all these cute clothes in my closet and I never dress up. I have makeup, but I rarely use it. But here's the thing...since I have been blessed with such an amazing guy like Matthew, I need to look my best for him everyday! I want to dress up, and put on lipstick and watch him say "wow" when he comes to pick me up.

Every girl is like "I want a guy who thinks I'm beautiful even in sweatpants and a hoody" I am sure he still thinks you're pretty, girlfriend. But don't make that your excuse for not putting effort into lookin good for your man. Just my personal opinion. 

SO, to keep myself accountable, I have made an instagram account @lifewithlaceybeth to post the outfit of the day for an entire year!!! Wowzers. I may also post where I got each thing I am wearing, but don't surprised if the majority is from Goodwill.
