Family Friday

Hey you beautiful people! You know what today is?? It's Family Friday!!!

So today I'm going to introduce to you the dearest people to my heart- my amazing family.

First up is my daddy. My hero, my fireman, the rock of our family, the gentle giant, the hammock camper, one of my best friends.

My daddy has the kindest heart I know. He would lay down his life for any one of us in my family. I also know he would sacrifice anything for us. He is the godliest guy I know. He raised my brother and I up in truth, disciplined us when we were wrong, encouraged us when we were down, and celebrated with us when we accomplished something great. He literally made sure that he raised us in a Christ-centered home. When they were building our house, he and my mama wrote scripture on the walls as the infrastructure was going up, and before they put on the paint. On the way to preschool, daddy would hold my hand the whole way there and we would sing every worship song I knew. Whenever something was going wrong, he referred us to scripture and prayed with us on a daily basis. These things I will treasure for the rest of my life. Thank you daddy.

Next is my mama. My biggest fan, the one everyone seems to know and love, my co-shopper, my other best friend.

My mama is the sweetest, most thoughtful, cutest person in the history of ever. She is the best kindergarten teacher and through her job has made such an impact on so many lives. She has spent countless hours driving me to play rehearsals and sat through them, she is constantly looking for something that I have lost, and always has an open ear when I rant to her in the car. She is the one who is always getting my family "happy's" as I mentioned in an earlier post, just to encourage us, and is always there to dry any tears. I don't think I could make it without her-she is the only one who understands what is going on in my crazy head. Thank you mama.

Last but not least is my bubba. My motorcycle lover, funniest-dancing-singin, future fireman, protective, big brother.

I honestly don't know how my brother has put up with me for almost 19 years. He had to take me to school for two years in highschool and had to deal with me always wanting to hang out with him and his friends-I'm pretty sure he wanted to kill me at times. But even though he didn't like to show it, he was so protective over me. No one could say anything bad about me because I was his "little sis". And I am the proudest little sis ever! Charlie just passed his fisdap to be an EMT with flying colors. Even though Charlie and I have had our ups and downs through the years, we have become lifelong friends. Charlie is irreplaceable. Thanks for putting up with me bubba.

It's pretty hard getting older because everyone has jobs and responsibilities, but I have found that I love this season of life more than any other. My brother and I have outgrown are fighting and picking on each other and my parents and I can talk about anything. We are all truly so close and the absolute best of friends. I wouldn't trade them or our close bond for anything in the world.

I have cried like a baby writing this whole post- and I am not a crier! I don't know what has come over me lately but I have been crying at everything! A sweet wedding video, a meaningful text, a good book or a good conversation and I lose it. Can't say it's a bad thing though. I like to think that it means that I am just learning how to feel all of life's precious moments even deeper.

Hope y'all have a great Friday!!
xoxo,
Lacey Beth
